Keywords:
Ethnic Identity, Culture, Physical Activity, SportsAbstract
The purpose of this research was the presentation of the structural validity and reliability of the Ethnic/Cultural Identity questionnaire, which was adapted and validated in the Greek population, as well as the summary of their use for research in the field of Physical Education and Sports. The statistical analyzes carried out, were: (1) the exploratory factor analysis, (2) the reliability analysis to investigate the coherence of the questions that make up the factors, (3) confirmatory factor analysis and (4) second order factor analysis. Based on the results, the specific measuring instrument can be a useful measuring instrument for the investigation and evaluation of ethnic identity in the school environment in general, but also in Physical Education and sports in particular. According to these and despite the use of the questionnaire in some research in the field, this questionnaire could be used in many more future researches, which aim to clarify those points that were not possible to examine in detail in research that were already used as an instrument measurement.
